Testimonials

Ah here is an ethical dilemma ............... to provide testimonials or not - so I thought I would explain why I don't.

Whilst I understand that some potential clients may like to see testimonials as evidence of experience and client satisfaction; I find them problematic.

As a responsible practitioner  I use my skills to provide each client with their desired outcome.

  • I maintain client confidentiality unless I consider that there is a risk of harm either to the client or someone else.
  • For a testimonial to be meaningful it must be identifiable.... otherwise how would you know it were genuine?
  • The success of therapy depends upon the relationship between client and therapist.  I believe that a chat is the most effective way to judge whether you wish to meet me.

I take a lot of care in establishing a relationship of trust with my clients and I believe that to use their comments for publicity purposes would breach this trust.
